Start with a clear boundary

Share stable API types and validation without forcing every screen to look identical. Phone and desktop use call for different layouts.

Handle failure deliberately

Centralize authentication, request configuration, and error mapping in a small client layer. Keep authorization checks on the server.

Make the result understandable

Test slow connections, app suspension, and stale data. A good shared architecture reduces duplicate logic while preserving usability.
