Keep TypeScript API contracts clear across the stack

Shared types catch client-server mismatches, but they do not replace runtime validation or stable API design.

Start with a clear boundary

TypeScript helps during development; HTTP data can still be malformed or stale. Validate at the boundary and return intentional errors.

Handle failure deliberately

Share stable domain contracts between web and mobile, keeping framework-specific details out. Schema generation helps when the API warrants it.

Make the result understandable

Adding required fields can break deployed clients. Prefer compatible changes and deliberate deprecation for interfaces already in use.
